Why Placement in Living Luxe Means Something
We are selective about who gets in — and selective about who gets it
We welcome only bona fide luxury businesses into our pages. Brands appear through display advertising or clearly marked partner content, such as our annual gift guide, always labeled as such, never disguised as editorial. And our readership is screened with the same care.
A Qualified Readership
Every copy directed to the households that buy at the luxury level
Nothing about our distribution is left to chance. We take as much care getting the magazine into to the right hands as we do in making it.
- Mailed to the region’s best addresses, screened by household income, home value, age, and education
- Mailed to the private client list of Underwood Jewelers, households qualified by what they have actually purchased
- Hand-placed in 500+ premier business locations across the First Coast
The Underwood Jewelers Edition
Luxe Publishing is the exclusive publishing partner of Underwood Jewelers
Each year, we produce a bespoke edition of Living Luxe in partnership with Underwood Jewelers, the Southeast’s premier luxury jeweler. The cover and editor’s page of our Fall/Winter edition are customized to create the Underwood’s Edition, sealed in a protective sleeve and direct-mailed with Rolex on the outside back cover.
The overwhelming majority of this printing is direct-mailed to Underwood’s proprietary client list, Rolex wearers and buyers of fine diamonds, with the balance distributed at their three First Coast showrooms.
Consider what this represents: Not a household screened only by income and home value, but one already proven at the counter. Your brand arrives in that mailbox, in that company. And it is a list no broker can sell you; there is no other route to this audience on the First Coast.
Reaching Wealthy Newcomers
Reaching the affluent transplant at the moment brand preferences are formed
Northeast Florida is attracting wealth at a pace few markets can match. But the newcomer has no mailing address here yet — and certainly no loyalties. They form their brand preferences in the first months, precisely when direct mail cannot reach them. This is why Living Luxe does both: mailed to the region’s best households, and placed where the affluent newcomer will pick it up to learn about the region.
“I have several brand-new customers — couples from out of state — who moved to Ponte Vedra because of Living Luxe. They literally said they moved here on account of the magazine! They’d see it around town and would pick it up to learn about the area. It reflects so well upon Jacksonville to have a magazine like this, that they ultimately decided to move here! I’ve heard the same thing from others.” Sarah Merkling, Sales Manager, Underwood Jewelers
“I think the play here is for all the new money moving here, the new money that wants to learn how to live down here in a classy way: This is their book.” Thomas Dew, Marketing Executive, Ponte Vedra Beach
“We have a lot of newcomers moving to the area and coming in for dinner. I see them picking up Living Luxe and they talk to me about it. They say that it’s such a high-end magazine and that it makes them feel good about moving here. They learn about the advertisers in the magazine, and take it home with them.” Claire Hockaday, Hostess, Restaurant Medure
A Readership That Engages
Engagement unheard of for a magazine — and why your ad is seen
Did you know that readers have formed book clubs to discuss Living Luxe? Or that women call their salons to be notified when the next issue arrives? We hear reports of patrons visiting their favorite restaurant hoping to find Living Luxe, only to leave if the stack has already been depleted. Underwood’s had to begin keeping a list of customers who walked in asking to be notified the moment the next issue lands.
“Everyone wants this magazine. I can’t even begin to tell you how many customers walk in specifically to ask for a copy of Living Luxe.” Leslie Burkhalter, Sales Associate, Underwood Jewelers
“The husbands sit there and read it while their wives are shopping. In fact, every time I look at that seat, and some customer is sitting there reading Living Luxe!” Sales Representative, Talbots Ponte Vedra Beach
“I always take a copy from the stack you deliver, before they’re all grabbed up, to place in our lounge area. And then I sit back and watch the patients all fight over it.” Receptionist, Florida Eye Specialists
The Results Speak
Documented sales, again and again
Our advertisers report countless documented sales: customers who even walked in with our magazine in hand and bought the exact product advertised. We’re glad to share the fuller picture with any serious prospect — literally hundreds of unsolicited testimonials from satisfied advertisers, readers, and distribution partners — along with our verified print and distribution figures.
“A customer came walking in with the magazine, walked up to the counter, and pointed to the diamond ring featured in our ad. He’d gotten Living Luxe in the mail and wanted to buy that exact diamond. We made a $60,000.00 sale that day.” C. Clayton Bromberg, Chairman, Underwood Jewelers
“Our ad generated the highest number of orders for any new product launch we’ve ever done. You get that magazine exactly into the hands of the luxury customer we need to reach.”
Jim Moyer, General Manager, Land Rover Jacksonville (2021)
“We had a lot of new customers come into the store on account of Living Luxe during PLAYERS; one gets it mailed to her, another picked it up at Mayo Clinic, and also brought the magazine in with her. From just these two customers, alone, we sold more than $9,000 in merchandise in two days.” Sheila Willard, General Manager, Opulence of Southern Pines
“I don’t want you getting a big head or anything, but just one day after the Living Luxe mailing, a couple walked in from Jax Beach, saying they’d seen our ad and drove clear across town to our showroom.” Greg Stewart, Owner, Stewart Lighting
